Haven't Met Any Civs

Weird error last night while playing. The trade screen (the one that comes up when you click on the gem at the top) would always display that "I haven't met any other civilizations yet" or some such. But I had met everybody. I could access any of them through the other diplomacy tabs, but that one tab that usually has the nice summary table so you can see at a glance who needs your luxury resources, and what resources everybody has... claimed I had nobody.

I had just installed some new stuff prior to starting that game, so I had already done the usual clearing of the cache and purging similar mods stuff. I was using UPv23 and GEMv1.03.

Also, and this is just a side question, what was the motivation for adding that diplomacy line about "bovvered"? I had to track down the file and edit it, it was so infuriating. Very out of character line for a world leader, plus an extremely obscure reference to boot (at least for me anyway, I have never heard of the source).

I would like to second the removal of that line. I actually googled it and found the reference on You Tube... silly but not worth having in the game.

I always have to look again after getting that message to tell if they actually accepted my proposal or not.

I think I found that problem too, and it should be fixed in civup v25.


Someone requested the bovvered line in the quotes thread. It's a British phrase. If you have more ideas for quotes we could change or add, post in that quotes thread.
