I bought Civ IV about 5 days ago, after getting home and playing it, I realized my onboard video wasn't quite up to the task.
Having no AGP slots, the best I could get was a PCI card, so I got a Ge-Force FX 5200. It's specs are as follows: 64/128/256MB DDR SDRAM Memory, and a 64/128bit memory interface.
Well, after the switch, when I try to play the game, the screen turns blue, and stays that why until I click my mouse. Then it goes to the menu screen, but it doesn't display any menu items, just the CIV IV marquee across the top.
I know the rest of my computer specs are up to task. I have a gig of ram, and a 2.93 GHz processor.
And before the switch to the new video card, the game played, but quite badly.
So is their some computer setting I need to tweak, or anything?
