Head's Up GMG 48-hour sale 27% Off (Through Customer Email)

GMG (Green Man Gaming) has sent out emails with a voucher code for 27% of Civ 6 standard or Civ 6 deluxe. If ordered, a steam key will be delivered to your email closer to the release date.

There was a 25% sale a few days ago, which I missed out on....this GMG sale email hit my inbox today, so I assume it is a today and tomorrow sale only.

In my view, Steam competition is a good thing and if GMG is willing to sacrifice some of their profit to gain customers, so be it .

I assume the devs aren't shorted with sales like these, I assume...

I've already had a 25% and a 27& sale from GMG. I have no doubt they will offer a few more similar deals in the coming months. I'm in no rush to preorder without any details.

I've ordered a handful of games from them at discount before and have never had any trouble at all.

Yes, you can. Just add the game to your steam library once you have the key.

In the past, I think that has varied. I remember getting codes the day of release (a number of hours after release time) and someone mentioned that some Civ V codes were sent out a few days late. They've probably given codes early sometimes, too.

In most cases you will get the Key either a day prior to release or the day of release.

GMG sends the codes "as soon as they get them". I have not had any issues with using them. For XCOM2, another Firaxis game, the codes came later than other preorders but were still a couple days before the release for ample time to preload.
