Help a noob out: problems getting MP started.

Can anyone offer some advice and/or help to me, I'm trying to set up internet games, but EVERY time, it tells me the game machine has failed to connect. I know I've entered the correct host IP addy.

Check what version of civ2 you are using, may need to download latest update from the downloads on this forum, this is usually the problem

Other thing is to check whether your filewall is an hindrance
