I am trying to add new images into units_32.pcx...
Those new images are from "XX-32.pcx" which are contained in most unit modpacks from "Downloads > Civilization III Downloads > Civ3 - Unit Graphics".
However, when I pasted some images into the "units_32.pcx", the color of the image is changed. Here is an example (look at the bule color):
attachment.php

(photoshop; left: original image; right: pasted to units_32.pcx.)
How can I fix this problem? Why the colors are changed?

The units_32.pcx Palette does not have many Blue colors at all in the palette so you will need to change those Colors. You can also use Greyscale with No Color if you run into big problems.

IF the Blue Colors on the image are for CIV Specific Colors, you need to change those Blue Colors to Red Shades. The Red Colors in the top 4 rows are CIV Specific colors and will change color for each Civilation.

If you have the unit animations, you can open the Default Flc in Flicster, select the #1 Red Civ Color then generate a storyboard. You can then use an image from that storyboard for the units_32 file because the Blue CIV Specific Colors will all be Reds.

Take care that the Red Colors in the image that are Not suppose to be Civ Specific Colors are not using the Civ Specific Red Colors or that will also change according to the Civilization that owns the unit.

You can check out the units_32 tutorial that can help you concerning units_32 images.
