Help, Black Terrian

I have a problem with Civ 4, I installed the game and went to start a game and the terrian is black. But the rivers and woods ect, still show.

Also i have'nt yet had the time to download the latest pacth, hopefully that will help.

Edit: I went to www.systemrequirmentslab.com and found out this:
Ram: Need 512MB have: 447.5MB
Video card Need: 64MB 3D Video Card Radeon 7500 Have: VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP (VIA/S3G Unichrome IGP)
my question is can i run Civ 4 without a video card?

I have the same. VIA/S3G. Will I be able to run civ4?

No sorry. The chances of getting it to work are pretty slim.
Make sure that drivers are uo to date and the patch is installed but chances are it wont help. Sorry

ya, i called tech support and a VERY british guy told me I need i new Video Card, dam won't be able to play Civ 4 in awhile. o well
