hey ok i thought i did everything ok but im guessing that i didnt. all i can play is the age of ice scenario. when i try to load the fall from heaven mod it just loads up a regular game. any ideas on what i did wrong and does anyone know where i can find instructioins or something like that. kinda new to this stuff but i loved the age of ice scenario and i want to try the full game. so help me please.

How are you trying to load Fall form Heaven II?
After installing Fall from Heaven II you should be able to load the normal game, then go into Advnaced Options -> Load a Mod. In that list you should see "Fall from Heaven 2 034". Selecting it should load the mod.

Thats how i am doing it. the first time i installed it it would just load a normal game no new unit, civilization, nothing. i reinstalled it last night and specified which folder it installed in and now im am getting a GFC error, failure to load control theme.
I hope you dont mind me posting here, but I have a smiliar problem. i keep on DLing FFH2 and installing it to the mods folder in Civ4, yet every time I try to load a mod, it is never actually in there. I check the Civ4 mods folder, and its not in there too. Im not very good with technical things but thought i'd be able to manage this ok, but it seems not. Any help please?

That means you are either just installing the FfH patch, or you dont have Beyond the Sword 3.17 applied.

It reads the install location from the registry. Its possible your registry is incorrect. Also if you have Civ4 installed twice on your computer its possible that its installing into the wrong one.
Make sure your actually running beyond the sword. It wouldnt show up if you were running vanilla Civ4 or warlords.

Thanks for your time.ok but im pretty sure im running beyond the sword 3.17. as for just running the patch that maybe my problem but im not sure how to install fall from heaven. ive downloaded three files Media Pack: 0.34 media pack, Patch: Patch "g" and then Fall from Heaven II (368.54 MB) i installed the media and the patch but when i try to open the last one it jsut asks me which program do i want to use. i chose civ beyond the sword and all that but it either just loads a regular game or i get the failure to load control theme.

I'm guessing that Fall from Heaven II has not installed as an exe file. What you have to do is manually change the name of the file by adding ".exe" at the end of the file name. Then, just doubleclick on it and it will install.
Also, you should install the Media Pack and Patch G AFTER you've installed the main mod. In your case, that would mean reinstalling patch G and the media pack.
ok i will give it a try. i had read something about that on one of the threads but i wasnt sure if that had anything to do with the problem that i was having or not. ok well im going home to try that out thank you guys for all your help.
ok i looked for the pink boxes and i found one thread that mentioned it. it wasnt to clear on which folder to installed the patch in would it just be c\programfiles\civ4\bts\mods\fallfromheaven or something similar to that. thats where i put it but i still have the boxes. im going to unistall everything and then try it again, and hopefully that works. do you guys have any ideas.
