HELP!!! cant even play

I got civilization 3 two days ago. And i have played if fine. But now all of the sudden it wont let me even start. I click on new game, choose my carcters and maps and stuff, and start. But when i start, i place my city right were my settler is. And then have it produce a worker. Then the science advisor wants me to click on one, so i do and then it says the game is over! I know i can just click lemme play a couple more rounds but i wont be able to launch the rocket **** PLZ HELP!!

I assume you mean Civ 4, not Civ 3. Did you try starting another game? Has this happened in more than one game?

Woops my bad. I was in such a rush i didnt look at the topics. I did mean Civ. 3 sorry!
