help can't make gold?

I'm having trouble in the Warhammer mod.

I can't seem to make money and be able to research things at a reasonbale rate. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to make money and research techs faster??

The race I use is Ulthulan (high elves) could this have anything to do with it

You should build lots of markets when you can get them especially in cities with luxury resources because of the extra money output, you should also try and build banks and stuff to make more money and you should try to rip off other civs for gold per turn and gold lump sum

And trading your resources.
Probably you know all these but it is the only way if you want to have a strong economy.Changing your goverment to Republic\Democracy will also icrease your income but don't forget before to build the city improvements mentioned (specialy at the beging Marketplaces ),otherwise these type of goverments instead of increasing your income will definetaly lower it because of the unit support.

I completely forgot about trading away resources but when ever I trade them away I end up with the civ i traded the resources to declaring war on me after they have made units with the resources I have traded them. Bloody Egyptian Scum
