Help getting an oldie to work...

Hiya,

I would like to get SimCity2000 (DOS version) to work on WinXP.

The program starts OK with no errors, but the image is garbelled. This may be an issue with VESA drivers or it may not.. any suggestions?

I tried it in DosBOX and that works but it's terribly slow

For comparisson, it's faster to launch it this way..
Macintosh emulator (Basilisk II)

How fast is your computer?

You can set the CPU speed that DosBOX has to emulate. Standard setting is 2.4 MHz. (2400 calculation per millisecond) But be careful not to raise that too high.

I'd reccomend going to your local computer shop and look for boxed sets with it, they usually have them.
