help me beat the roulete table.

Of course, you could always stare into a candle for seven months straight until you can see through every card

What an obscure reference to an obscure book. I hope I'm not the only one who knows which book.

A cookie for someone who knows!!:D

If you MUST play roulette, try to find a table with a single 0. Most European tables are this way and only have a 1/37 advantage to the house. Most American tables have 0 and 00, giving a 1/19 advantage, almost twice as much.

I'm a devoted black jack fan - but the house is making it much tougher these days. Most big houses now play with auto shuffle shoes that shuffle after each hand rather than running through a cut 8 pack deck. This makes counting cards pointless.

the best place in the world I've found to play blackjack is Malta. the house rules are very generous:

6 pack hand shuffled shoe
double on anything (ie every time the dealer has a 6 you double regardless of your card)
split aces more than once
can draw more than once to a spilt ace

I've usually got my airfare back in the first two hours - everything else is profit.

Blackjack is the only game I play in casinos. You dont need to be a counter to bet high when the odds favur you and low when they dont.

I broke even over 6 hours while the person next to me lost $5000.

If the roulette is perfet, there is no way to win. Just assuming that a number is going to be the lucky one after 78 rounds is not that probable (should be something like 1-(36/37)^78, which is 88.2%). So there is 11.8% probability that you lost 1000 dollars against 88.2% that you win 100. Overall is balanced.

But, no machine built by the man is perfect. So, with the time and patient required, you could find some numbers that have slightly more chances than others. Then you can bet.

"The only way to win at the roulette is to steal money from the dealer". Not something I would recomend.

On the other hand, if you have a good memory you can try your hand at card counting :D

that's actualy constructive. thanks.
didnt even cross my mind to actualy count up my odds of not getting my number in 78 rolls. was sort of just figuring "no way that would happen". but you're right, i do have a good chance of loosing the whole lot. guess, i'll just take the advice:
Set an amount aside strictly for playing roulette and use only that much. If it's gone, then don't gamble anymore. Consider th emoney gone before you even play.

i hate card games. even more so when its for money.

roulette seems to me like something i can win at (i know its not true, but its a comfortable feeling to have), so i prety much only play the roulete at casinoes.

Be Bond. Play Baccarat.:smoke:

if i could get rid of the "getting shot at, having mortal enemies" part, then i'd definetly like to be bond (the "sleep with every beautiful woman that walks by" part is VERY appealing). maybe once i run out of money at the roulete, i'll try to go learn the baccarat thing.

anyone know any good theories/systems for beating the roulete table?

my main criteria is that it doesnt require a HUGE amount of cash.
then there's a time constraint.

if you've got a system that does require a large amount of cash, please share it. maybe i can scale it down and make it work.
Put everything you have on red, then put everything your girlfriend has on red. Can't fail.
