I want to learn how to play Shogi however it will be a few days before I can get the pieces I need. In the mean time I was planning to just use a computer program to practice; I don't need any programming, just a series of .jpg's that I can drag and drop with a grid as a background. I know that MS Paint won't work for this, and Gimp isn't ideal. I was wondering if anyone could think of a way to do this in Flash. I don't need the computer to understand the rules of the game, I just want an unmovable background, and symbols that I can drag with my mouse. Is there a simple way to do this in Flash or is there another free program I can use that would be better. I have limited experience with C++ however almost no experience with windows.
PS: The reason I don't just play online is because I can't find any player vs computer sites that don't require me to download something and I don't want to risk getting a virus.
Note: I count flash as an option because I happen to have a copy on my computer, I know it's not free; I didn't get a pirate copy, and I know the program isn't free, I just happen to have it on hand.
