Help! Me dumb: how do I fly my airplanes??

I presume there's a manual for CivIII -somewhere- around the house, but no one knows where and it's certainly not in the original box. I have a large airforce, two dozen airports and two aircraft carriers but when any air unit's movement turn comes up I can't move the plane. I've tried every letter-key and many special character keys and nothing lets me plot a course. [Although it's just now occuring to me I haven't tried uppercase letters... naw, that's too goofy; I think I'm missing something OBVIOUS!]

I'd appreciate a clue as to how to fly: am I not noticing an option somewhere on the screen? Is there a secret handshake I need to learn?


I know this is going to be a "DOH!" moment coming up....

Planes don't move like in Civ II. You have to choose a mission: Rebase, Recon, Bombing Run, Precision Strike. Only fighters/jet fighter/stealth fighters can do recon, and only bombers/stealth bombers can bomb, and only stealth bombers can precision strike. The buttons are at the bottom of the screen when it's an aircraft's turn to move.

With a score of airplanes, I've missed those options a couple of hundred times. Good grief....

This senility thing is exhausting....
