I am searching for over an hour now, but i cant find a guide, how to install new unit graphics or buttons (in which folder, etc.etc.)

Hmm, thats not what i am looking for, i wanted to know, in which folder i have to copy the files when i downloaded it froum your website, the most folders dont have a readme file or something else, this is more a how to create guide.

For example, i want do add the Riot ploice to my BTS (http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=42), i download it, and now?

I dont have a clue where i have to place the files in which folder of my programm ( i know, i am the total noob)

Like it or not, that thread actually does contain the information you need.

The file you downloaded contains graphics and animation. There are no actual unit stats.

To make use of it, you need to either create stats and assign the graphics to those stats or chose an existing unit and assign them to that.
