Help Needed

i am unable to play user created maps.
When i click single player - it gives a popup cannot read worldbuilder save file of user - maps
but the map is shown in the scenario list and when i load it, it loads till the end and then my pc hangs and i have to reboot
this happens with all the new maps i have downloaded- the maps provided with installation work without problem.
i have applied the 1.9 patch also.
mods are loaded correctly without any prob - the prob only happens when i load any maps.
Plz Help

Strangely - all the maps are loading now correctly
but i sure would like an explaination for this...........
