Okay so heres my problem.
I installed civ4 vanilla and it worked fine. I decided to update it. I dl'ed the patch and halfway into it, I had some error code, which turned out to be that I didnt have the most updated direct 9x. But as I was waiting for the answer to my error, I had uninstalled the game. When that didnt completely work, I basically deleted the whole program file and etc. (Sigh, Big mistake, I was so dumb to do this!
)
Now I'm trying to reinstall the game, but when I put in the first cd of civ4, it says play instead of install. So I opened up the cd in my computer to do the setup.exe, it says that I have the newest version of civ4 (1.74) and that the version I'm installing (civ4 cd, game of the year ed. ) is version 1.6 something, which then means that I can't install this game UNTIL I uninstall the patch.
Sorry if this is confusing but can you help me please? I dont want to resort to formatting my computer, but gosh darn it, if I have to, I WILL. I'm so addicted to this game ;x
