I am a rookie how do i get food build barraks and stuff like that please help me to start me on my way.

I believe there are a lot of beginner's help threads that can be found on this forum, and in the archives. Maybe a Search for such would assist you. Good luck.

To quickly answer your questions, food is gotten by citizens farming a terrain square, barracks are built by selecting them in a cities production menu, units are built the same way.
