Help! Problems with the Chat

Sorry, but I'm not used to chat mode and have no idea how to do it. My computer wouldn't load useing the chat tab provided by CFC, so I downloaded the mirc like instructed in the guide.

My question is with mirc how do I set up the address that is provided in the guide?

In mIRC, click the options button (hammer and folder).
Select the server tab
Choose IRC-Chat from the network pulldown
Choose IRC-Chat: Random server from the server pulldown
Click on connect to server button.
