Hello! I have a bit of a wierd use case but I'd love the help to get it working... if it can. I am trying to run a pitboss server from inside a Hyper-V VM. To do this I have given the vm a RemoteFX adapter so that is has DirectX 11 support. For some reason, when I try to launch the game with the adapter, it spins for a second then quits. Similarly, when I try to launch the dedicated server with the adapter, it crashes after clicking host game.
I have also tried without the adapter. When I try to launch the game without the adapter, it seems to launch fine in DX9 mode but crashes in DX10/11 mode with the error failed hr=DXGI_ERROR_DECVICE_REMOVED. Without the adapter, I can also launch the dedicated server and click the host game button but it seems to get stuck on receiving host data.
I know this is an unusual use case but I have the virtualization environment already so I'd like to save the power and not get another system. On top of that, my virtualization environment is HA to keep the VM running.
