Help! Units maintain their name after upgrade

The only feature of 1.52 patch I’m really upset with. In my mod I’ve given all units unique names like 1st Archer Warband…2nd Archer Warband…1st Infantry Corps… 1st Artillery Brigade… etc. Brings more variety, for me at least. Imagine now with 1.52 patch an upgraded infantry units still called 1st Archer Warband!

I’ve looked through all Pythons files but could not figure out how to change this back. I’m not a programmer unfortunately. My question to all Python experts: is there any way to change it back? Or is it hardcoded?! Any help will be appreciated.

Were you able to have this work as you wanted before 1.52?

Yes, of course. It worked perfect, after upgrade units get their new "unique" name. Firaxes "fixed" in patch 1.52.

To me it makes sense, say you named a Redcoat "The Coldstream Guards", they are still a Regiment, though by now the would be a Mechanized Infantry.

Not that that helps any...
