Why should you care?
Winning the Historical Way is a series of posts where I ask the community for help with some of the tougher UHVs (for me) anyway with the added caveat that it is EXTRA historical. What these means is that I achieve the UHV required while also trying to achieve these goals in descending order of importance:

Building all wonders historically built by the civilization I'm playing
Not building any wonders not historically built by it
Not Changing to civics that do not make historical sense (no Republic for China for example)
Settling or conquering all historical and contested areas
Avoiding settling or conquering all foreign areas.

So looking at Minoa, it seems like you have very little time to meet many conflicting demands. If you need cities for trade routes, then you won't have enough time to build defence for said cities when the sea people come. Build the palace of Knossos, you won't have time to build the galleys, build the galleys you won't have time for PoK, which means you won't be able to get a great person in time. Thoughts?

It is quite possible and I follow pretty much the same gameplay philosophy that you do. The only reason I am building Carthage's Wonder -- is because I was going to win in historical way and wanted to continue Minoans to the modern age.

With the new update you start little bit later but can use the start up gold to get orchards for Wine and Olives and get Knossos to pop 2. I work on Galley and then a Settler for Larissa on Marble. The first stop is Oracle and then PoK. The really crazy challenge would have been to win with Oracle built in mainland Greece, but I would argue this is really an Oracle of Delos, not Delphi, so we can take some creative liberties. The 4 cities are Knossos, Larissa, Mycenae and future Alexandria, taken from Egypt. You can see my razed "Troy" taken from Hittites in Asia Minor. Building actual Troy is discouraged by @Crossphazer because it would hurt future Constantinople, which is a real shame, as it would have give us, Minoan players, so much more excitement! The magic number of War Galleys is 6 and the place to "control" Sea People traffic is Malta. Deadlines are tight but doable, I got them from 3rd try.
