If you plan on keeping your new build for several upgrades, including SLI GPUs, I'd consider going Full Tower case for more room, and probably better cooling. If your builder is doing things custom for you, check out a high air flow case, like from the CoolerMaster HAF series.

From what he's saying of it, its most likely a harddrive problems. My old acer laptop has the same issues.
