My game WAS working fine - made it all the way to Scientific Method and then it crashed. Hard. After that, it wouldn't start up no matter what.
I installed the latest Radeon drivers - no change.
I unpacked the Art0 - no change.
So I un-installed the game.
Then, during install (about half-way or better), the install crashed.
Now when I insert the CD it comes up with the PLAY README EXIT screen as if the game is installed - but it's not.
The program does not appear under Add/Remove Programs. I deleted the partially installed game folder and deleted the shortcuts, but it still comes up as if it's installed. I then found a thread about clearing the Install Shield Temp folder - did that but still no change.
Where is it getting this? What do I need to remove?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Forget it. I just browsed the CD and ran the INSTALL.exe. BUT, everyone should know that, when it asks for the 2nd disk during install, you should hold down the SHIFT key as you insert the CD and continue holding it down until you see that the progress of the install is moving.
I'm off to see if the game will work now.
