*OK, posted in the correct spot now... I think.*

Hey there. I am by no means an experienced modder. I don't know how to program, create graphics, or balance gameplay. I have no knowledge of XML. I do, however, have an interest in making a certain mod, and have since the glory days of civilization III. As someone very interested in history, especially the history of Rome, I would very much like to create an "early rise of Rome" type mod/scenario. By this, I mean the rise of Rome on the Italian peninsula and surrounding islands, and perhaps North Africa, from the days of Rome as a city state just after independance from the Etruscans, through their wars with Alba Longa and the Latin League, through their conquests of the Italic tribes and Greek city-states, up until the point where they controlled all of Italy from Sicily up to Transalpine Gaul. Again, I have no modding experience, but being a college student with a specialization in archaeology and a history minor, I do have plenty of resources available to me about the Romans, their early history, the way their armies looked and acted (for the graphics, I could even go to the U. Penn museum here in Philadelphia and photograph the Roman and Italic military uniforms from various eras), major technological improvements in the Republic (for the techs), as well as information on their enemies and allies (Greeks, Sannites, Etruscans, Carthagians, etc.) In other words, I can help make the flavor of the mod/scenario as accurate as I can.

If anyone is interested in helping me with this project, just send me an email at xuncoordinatedx@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Maybe you could be an advisor or help out with S.P.Q.R.? ;)

The first map, that comes with S.P.Q.R. is a map of Italy (actually it is 71 x 90). We still need some City names and Leader names for the Samnites and also for some other "Civs". May be you can help out?
