Help with Minoan UU

I need help choosing a unique unit for my custom Minoan civ. The problem is that the Minoans didn't have much of a military at all. Even their powerful navy was entirely made up of merchant vessels. Does anyone have any good ideas for a unit for them?

Sounds like they need a custom ship with +1 movement and ignores borders.

Minotaur (or the bull headed priests) FFH2 has a minotaur graphic you could use...

Remember that the Dutch and the Portuguese both have naval uu's that were merchants..

Thanks for the help. I've decided to use a trireme with no military support cost. Being able to build massive ancient era navies without paying for them is cool but not overly powerful.

What about giving their Triremes the 'Trade Mission' ability, like a mini-Great Merchant?
