Help with new unit for BTS

Hi I want to upgrade the modern tank so that it has all promotions and can only be built by usa. i assume i can use the same modern tank grafics just put a new name on it? i play only against the pc. my question is this ...

has anyone ever built this unit?
or anything like it ?
and are these files able to be downloaded for people like me? ( not much free time )

1) yea sure, there's been plenty of tanks created, probably most of them being UU's just like your idea
2) yea probably, though its fairly easy to just add 1 unit, I'd start in the tutorials section then ask questions in this forum if you get stuck or have problems

By setting the Default unit in the ModernArmor unitclass to NONE, then adding Modern armor to US in the same way a UU is added, the Modern Armor can only be built by USA (but it won't say its a uu in the 'pedia). The FreePromotion tag can be used to define what promos it starts with.

Don't know why you would do this, the brits, germans, and the Russians have pretty good tanks to. Did you mean you want to create a new unit for USA?
