You shold expand peacefully. There is a lot of room.
You'll attack later, with good units (keshiks!).
If you want the copper, grab a coastal tile next to the fish (SW of the fish could be the best).

any ideas on were i should settle? I'm think about trying to get the copper before Cathy(assuming she has BW). then grabbing the horses.
BTW i played this round twice now the first on Cathy beat me to the copper but i didn't chop rush the settler though this time i did so the oracle is pretty much out of the question at least in Karakorum though

Settle near the Horses. Hook up the Horses. Leverage your unique building and unique unit and hit Catherine.

I agree with Cabert in that there's still room for expansion, so you can hold off a little bit.

Shame about Alex (Phalanx) - you'll probably need to wait until the Medieval Era to deal with him with Maces and siege weapons.

so far still not much has happened on my continent
i finished researching pottery then started on mysticism then polytheism and finished up with priesthood anyways heres what happened in round 4

well i ended up deciding go on ahead and found my second city by the horses on the desert hill

good thing because a little while later my scouts found Cathy's second city with at least 10 culture already

look at what else Cathy beat me to Hinduism

that about all that happened other than hooking up my horses, pigs, and building my third settler so heres a look at the now

any ideas on where my third city should be and should i go for Judaism or capture Cathy's Hinduism holy city later on?

BTW i have at least 2 other sources of copper but both would be bad city locations

Why are you building the oracle in your 2nd city already? You should build a 3rd, get some workers going then worry about the oracle. On noble you will have plenty of time to build it. You will also want the first border pop before you start building it.

Set up a 3rd city somewhere near those silks. They may be handy mid-game and will help to be a launching point for sacking cathy's copper. As soon as you can, start a war with cathy and be sure to pillage her copper so those pesky spears don't get in the way of your keshiks. Get some cottages rolling on those FP near your capitol to get ready for war and to give the research a little boost.

Also, have a wroker going for each city. That is a nice rule of thumb. Sometimes even 3 workers per 2 cities if you are doing a rapid little expansion or there is alot of jungle to chop.

The sooner you attack cathy the weaker she will be and the less axes/spears you will have to deal with. Forget about judiasm, take cathy's holy city. Unless you are going for a cultural victory, let the AI have as many religions as possible as it sows dissent among them. Instead for for iron working, you might have some nice and close sources of iron which will be needed for xbows, etc later. And yeah, those other sources of copper you have are in bad spots. I would just park a couple of you scouts up there to help reduce the barbs from spawning.
