Im trying to install my Belkin Wireless-G Router on my Windows 98 SE computer, and when i run the install program i get, a This program has performed an illegal operation...... caused a fault in kernel32.dll.
So i downloaded a new kernel32.dll, and an trying to replace it, but my computer wont let me replace it. Or delete the original.

If the installation routine causes an exception in kernel32.dll, the software is likely not compatible with Win98. I certainly wouldn't replace the dll with anything from the internet (unless you download it from MS)! It's a core component of Windows, and if it were broken, Windows would likely not work at all.

You shouldn't have to install any software to use a router. They usually include a CD, but you don't need it. As long as you have a functioning wireless card, just plug in the router, type its address in a browser, and start configuring it.

well i got the wireless working w/ my psp(using now) but i cant get online with my comp i checked all of the cables.

Do you have correct drivers for you wireless card? Do you have the SSID and password correct? Can you connect by use a cable instead of your wireless?

No, I cannot connect either my computer or PS2 using the cables, it shows there is a cable in, both on the router and on the computer, but nothing, no internet getting through.
