help with workers PLEASE

hi
for some reason i cannot build workers in my cities at all.
i start the game with a settler & 1 worker & cannot ever build any more again.
please help. what have i done wrong???

(Note that I do not mean to be unhelpful, but it might be something really simply as not seeing the worker on the build list)

could you think of an edit i have done by mistake that could obsolete them from my build list?

If you have played with the editor it's certainly possible and quite likely that this is the problem. Did you change any tech requirements, etc?

That's really wierd. Have you editted the game in any way? (Like actually going into CivEdit?)

just changed that i also start the game with a worker as well as a settler.
i have another prob now. i downloaded the 1.29f patch to add the edit button feature to add new units etc and now when i double click the civ3edit button i get an error that says:

could not open file: art\units\palettes\ntp00.pcx

all i did was install the patch.

any ideas???

i can still play the game but cannot edit no more...

my previous version was 1.07f

Word of advice at that point would be to delete it all and reinstall. then patch then dont permantly edit anything. Best Idea I want my cookie now.

that doesn't matter, he says the worker is not on the build list.

Sounds like you edited the worker somehow.

Load your scenario here and we can look at it, tell you what happened.

Probably best thing to do is a reinstall.
