Help with WWII prototype.

I remember reading about a German program during WWII to develop a helicopter system for infantry. There would be a small Engine for it carried on their back, and rotor over their head and the idea was this would allow the German Soldiers to 'hop' great distances. I'm almost certain this was developed for Fallschirmjager. As you can imagine, the program ended up as another silly german prototype. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the project or the helicopter things they developed. Does anyone else know?
