Hi guys any other lover of this fantastic RPG/STRATEGIC game here?

Well i play inferno: best heroes : Nymus , Nebiros and Deleb.

Yes
It adds a LOT to the gameplay - it's worth it.

Reminds me that I need to play that...
Just played the first two maps, but got sidetracked by other things.

Thanks.

Happy to know our small club is growing.

BTW I don't like so much orchs but Tribes of East is interesting. Dwarves rock.

orcs rule when I played them. The Earth Daughters I think they were called. Chicks were able to decimate stacks of units and their blood rage would rise fast.

I'm glad this thread Exists: HoMM 5 TotE is my fav game. Nice way to spill my first post ^^

Anyway I usually play Sylvan with Gilraen or Vinrael. Sylvan is by far the town I play the best.

What I mainly like about H5 TotE is the great amount of variability you have. You can evlove both Heroes and Army in everyway you like. However the most annoying feature is the great lack of Balance (I'm a member of two H5 fora, where almost everyon,e just like me, nag about the balance). Arcane Archers and Skeleton Warriors are WAY superior to the other upgrade.

Anyway, apart from the balancing problems this is a great game.

Welcome to the forums Lord Lakely.

Again, this reminds me I need to play this game.

Indeed ;)

I must urge you that you get TotE. It's cliché, but H5/HoF and H5/TotE are two different games, ofwhich you should take the latter ;)

To be honest, I already have ToE... I just never got around to playing it :shame:

In fact I have the whole series with all the expansions since Heroes II came out.

That's true, but goblins and warriors lower the quality of orcs IMHO.

What? LOL! Excuse me but I can tackle 30 Squires with 28 Centaur Marauders and Five (unupgraded) Goblins. WhenGoblins are upgraded, they have GREAT uses: Either they can seve as Fodder to Shamans/Cyclopses or they can use their ANNOYING specials, Snare and Defilement. Maulers are one of the deadliest lvl 3, right after Bears and Arcane Archers, while Warmongers are great to defend your Centaurs. soory, but both Units have great uses.

What really annoys me are the lack of Power in Zombies and Horned Demons. They are real epic fail :shake:

btw: I wirte a lot of typos, but that's because I'm dyslexic

Well, fighting against scores of those leaping demons (cant remember their name) is annoying as hell. But it's a sorta suicidal charge imho. They're good for the AI i guess.
Yea, other than some defense, the zombies suck.

Zombies are indeed very slow and almost useless in initial fights, but if you get Plague Zombies and divide them in several stacks, you will be able to weak stronger LV7 units and then kill them easily. Just a thought.

Nah, i personally prefer familiars. They can steal enemy hero's mana to give it to your one, and can gate themself to form a human shield.

They'd be Horned Leapers ;). They actually are very good, much better than the Overseers (those Red, fiery ones).

lol. Familiars are MUCH better that Goblins. Sadly, I've noticed that the AI ignores Gated Stacks, unless they can only attack gated stacks.

Well, You can Put them in front of your Shooters or next to obstackles, so that annoying units like Paladins and Emerald Dragons will attack them, rather than your Stronger units. However I prefer the Rot Zombies, mainly because they last longer.

Gated units are good for the suicidal attacks. Launch them against the stronger enemy to let him without counterattack, and the game is done. ;)

Right!!! :) Thanks

About the Zombies: Watch out for Champions and dragons, their Firebreath/Champions charge damage other units as well.

Tip. Try the Plague Zombie + Preparation Combo. It rocks. (Orson is the best for this, he starts with Vitality and Defence)
