Hey Help!

Hey is just got this game for christmas and it was working fine until...it chrased. So i tryd to play again and it chrashed and windows said to get the latist drivers. So i did that AND THEN whin i woud play the game it would flicker and freeze. I will try to post a pic of whats happening later, but in the meantime can anyone help?

Check your hardware - the game does not support on board grahics chips (IGPs) - typically many have the Inter 8 series IGP, the game will not run on those chips.

Then load Patch 1.52 either through the game interface, or via

Before Patching
Windows add/remove in control panel remove Civ - success or failed do the following

Delete the Civ IV Directories in:

- Programs/Firaxis
- My Documents / My Games
- C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\My Games\Civilization IV\ Its a hidden directory if not seen just check you have "show hidden files" switched on

Load from discs
Load Patch V1.52

If still issues - post again with your Dxdiag file

(Dxdiag - Start Button - click - choose run - type dxdiag - hit enter - wait a min - select save all information - post using 'advanced' button below)
