Highest level you've beaten?

I have beaten diety twice and Emperor about 10 times. I usually play monach and win without too much challenge. I am playing a regent island map right now and it has been a very fun and challenging game.

I am about to beat Monarch for my 5th time. I don't wish to try any harder becuase the game seems to get less fun and more work.

Emporer. It's all I ever play and probably all I ever will. I've tried lesser levels, thought it would be more fun but it didn't feel right. I can't stand the way all civs trade techs with eachother on emporeer, I prolly will never play deity. I think MP will be harder more fair, and best of all, no huge advantages for my opponents.

Diety, but I need an expantionist civ to do it. I prefer the brits, exp+com, start with alphabet. I am working on a way of doing something other than barely hanging on for a late victory

Before the GOTMs I would play as each civ one by one, increasing the difficulty level by level...

Greg, you're a big, fat liar! You know you've only done this playing as four civs. (Americans, Germans, French and Chinese) And I recall you reloading a few times too!

Monarch. But the type of map really seems to be key. On my last monarch win it was easy, because the land was only a small portion of the map (standard with random settings). When the AI has no expansion opportunities, it really makes it easier for the human. On a bigger map, I got my tail bushwhacked!

I was typically frustrated by how slowly I progressed on Deity relative to the other CIVs until I started reading the forum and saw the advantages the AI is given in each level.

I played many strategies on diety level and lost at all of them, exept this one.
be the persians
play against only the english
have no barbarians
a tiny map
build cities ridiculously close together
just go for iron working then get no science
only make immortals

that must be kinda boring though..
I only play deity-games on huge maps with all civs..
takes forever though, and turns are incredibly slow =(
