I have a highly irritating problem with a monitor on one of my computers. The display skips a little every few seconds and every so often it will go black for a few seconds then come back completely normal. The connection isn't loose, the power supply for it is fine as far as I can tell, hardware acceleration has been tested at all levels and it makes no difference, tried refresh rate at all three rates supported by my monitor (60Hz, 70Hz, and 75Hz) again, no difference. Drivers on video card and monitor are up to date as far as I can tell.
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9200 SERIES, driver version 8.252
Monitor: HP f1703 (17-inch LCD, 4 years old now) driver version 2.2.0.0 (can't find newer one)
Newer drivers for both may solve the issue, if anyone can find them please tell me where I've searched for a long time. I've spent a few hours researching this and can't find a helpful answer to my exact problem, mostly the monitor blacking out completely though from the sounds of it that's where my monitor is heading. Any additional help would be highly appreciated as I can't afford to have it fixed by someone or replaced. I'm fairly computer literate so don't bother adding extra descriptions to any directions you may have, I can probably figure most of them out. If I'm confused I'll be sure to ask
