Hola.
I've heard a lot of talk of being able to donate units to your allies in war, and I've not been able to discern how. So, if somebody could tell me how, I'd be much obliged. I have some far-off Morganites in need of help...

Bring the unit to the other guy's territory, then hit (I think) ctrl-shift-U. If not try various combinations.

Ah, well that's less than useful. I can't get any units over to the Morganites yet, and since I'm going up against a faction I clearly made too powerful, it looks like they're doomed.

Custom Faction Stats:
+1 Morale
+1 Research
+1 Growth
-2 Planet
FanaticBonus
Free Biology Lab
Doctrine: Mobility
Centauri Empathy
Free Unity Rover

Too much?

That's tough, but not ridiculous. I created a faction that, if I played AGAINST them, I probably would have no chance. They were a "theme" faction I created and didn't have any real penalties, and some very good bonuses.

Well this race was created based on a race I invented. See, I think I'm a writer. Basically they're a race of warrior/scientists who clone themselves to reproduce at a rate that usually exceeds any combat losses. So I didn't know how to balance them out.

Sounds like:

+4 Growth
+1 Support (large population can support more military)
-1 Industry (too much effort into cloning)
-1 Economy (all effort in cloning)
-1 Planet (ignore Planet)
-1 Morale (lots of troops, but weak ones)
Doctrine: Loyalty
Fanatic Bonus
Cannot use Democratic Social Choice

Just my opinion.

And that faction sounds strong, but not unbeatable. You'll probably have to let the Morganites go, but you should be able to beat them with 'Copters.

You could be on to something there. I'll play test those tweaks and see how they go. Thanks for that.

My theme faction was based off a story line I made for a group called "GASH" or "Genetically Altered Superior Humans".

Because they are basically the apex of humanity, far stronger, smarter and longer lived than average humans due to eugenics and gene therapy programs over centuries, they get some ridiculous bonuses:

First five citizens are talents; Every third citizen is talent
No drones till size 8
+3 Morale
+3 Research
+2 Efficency
+25 % attack AND defend
One extra research pick on start
Start with Biogenitics
Penalty immunity to Eudiamonia (Ideal social structure for their particular society of "perfect" individuals)

Thematically they are perfect to the GASH I created in a story but game-wise they are way way WAY overpowered.

I MIGHT be able to beat them on Talent or lower, but if I started on the same continent as them I'd probably get wiped out almost immediately.
