Welcome to a lot of size 6 and under cities. We lost a ton of unit support vs. despotism. We need to either build more cities, build markets, or get some cities to size 7.
 
Yeah, believe it or not, but despotism is often the best government for AW.

I have it. I'll try and get it up in the next six hours or so.
 
Pre-flight – 750 AD – We need some cities, aqueducts; we need a lot of stuff. We certainly need more than nine units in an invasion force.

IBT – Every Arab on that island heads our way. 26 archers and about that many spears.
760 – Play hit and run. Bombard then kill nine spears, then retreat to our ships. Sink a Russian galleon. Move our ships somewhere so our troops can heal. Our budget is a wreck.

Not much happens for a while then…

Sink several galleons as they pop up.
Found Raticonium.

830 - Steal two Russian slaves off the beach. And make a landing next to Kufah.

12 ACavs are in the force. Add a few more scientists now that we have positive cash flow.

FP is built. I think the Russians and the Aztecs just went to war. Monty will be toast.

840 – Found Leeidin. Amazingly, our warrior in Russian lands was not attacked.

If I didn’t get it this turn we’d have had to draw the Arabs off again. There are 12, 12 and 16 archers in each of those stacks respectively. We run away to the sea. Hire a few more scientists and we’re down to 15 turns on currency

Capture another Russian slave with an amphibious landing and here’s what we get to see.

We may want to consider an invasion of Azteca while the two are fighting. We could land a force on red dot and take Tlateloco. The force would probably need to be 15 ACavs. Our Arab invasion force has 12 units in it.

A landing next to Damascus would face a counter attack. I’m not sure how we’re going to make a further dent in the Arabs. We’re at 29% of land and 32% of pop. Keep settling and watch our economy very closely.

What I fear is that Aztecs lose the war and the Russians can found more cities, thats what we do not need at all.

Also, watch out for Arab ships since we burned some of their units. I would keep on pounding Arabia, until we have an army to attack the other 2

Now that we have literature please swap some of the remote cities to libraries. To pull of domination the one-shield cities will need to build some libraries.
 
I already swapped most of the remote builds to libraries. There may be one or two more that I missed. I was thinking more for cultural expansion rather than science.

Edit - after sleeping on it, I think the Azteca invasion makes a lot of sense. Monty won't be able to handle a two front war and we can have a grind it out war with Cathy once Monty is gone.

That is exactly why I mentioned it. It was agreed that the goal was domination, and this is the key.

I will take the mighty Byz out for a spin.
Will not try and attack Russian Island now, but will use dromons to hurt the Russians, cause if the Aztecs can take even 1 of their cities, that would be awesome.
 
IHT: Not much
IBT: lose our warrior to the Aztecs.
Turn 1: Burn a galleon at Novograd, disconnect a new road at St Pete's. Bombard many roads in Arab lands.
Turn 2: Sink Galleon in Moscow promoting a dromon. Take down some more roads for the heck of it.
IBT: Russians start US. I lose a dromon as we can't cover whales like I thought. Whoops.
turn 3: Uneventful. Starting the starving process on Arabia. Will land next turn.

Just because I have never seen something like this before.
Turn 4: Land some troops in Arabia, hope to kill 12 units or so. Kill galleon in Moscow.
Turn 5 Ridiculus luck. Kill 4 spears, 6 retreats and 2 losses in Arabia. The ridiculus part. This will be the blow that levels the arabs. Sink a galleon in Novograd.

Turn 6: Build Samasota. Warrior steal a russian worker.
IBT: Lose warrior to aztecs. Aztecs and Russia have peace.
Turn 7: Make AC army taking to Arabia. All of arabia's archers are on one side of their empire, we shall out flank them. Sink russian galleon.
Turn 8: Moving and sinking a russian galleon.
Turn 9: Build stopoverville by Arabs to prevent budget hemmorage. Location is sup-par but better than being broke.
Turn 10: Land the army and the rest of the troops. I reallize not everyone is healed all the way, but this is the bset way to get troops on the ground. Sink another Galleon.
