Which side of the dateline? Has the hard deadline slipped past in the last hour or two, or are there still 20+ hours to sneak in another attempt?
You still have a day.

As far as the Q-Score things go, yeah, there's a few bugs and room for improvement. We're working on it, but there won't be changes this update.

As for funny q-scores, looking at the pages of accepted but unpublished games, it gives you q-score and score q-score.
That page shouldn't be showing you the qscore until your game is published. I'll fix that at some point, though I guess you might not like that fix :mischief:.

Won't bother me too much, it's easy enough to look at the table that corresponds to the game I just submitted and see how I did. Will it still show the fastest and average score/finish for that particular map in the game details, or will that whole section be blank until the game is published?

When you submit, you see the time of submission, which timezone is it? Just interested.

Your timezone (one in your profile)

No, posts on the forum are timestamped with your timezone, submitted games are timestamped the same, regardless of where you're submitting from. Pretty sure it's GMT -5, I think I submitted my last game at 3.30 in the morning, Dec 1, and the timestamp on the game ID is 9.30 in the morning, November 30. I'm at gmt +11, so 16 hours earlier is GMT -5.

That sounds about right. Something I intended to do but never got around to was displaying times in the user's timezone. The old server was in it's own special timezone though, one that was different by some strange number of minutes, so it wasn't really worth doing. Maybe I'll revist this at some point.

While submitting a game, the site crashed, and now I've submitted two empty games. Game number 4225 and 4226.

Hi All,

I'm a long time CivIII/IV player, and I've decided I'm going to start submitting some HOF games so that I force myself to be exposed to new types of play.

If I've read the rules correctly, it seems that we can not use any additional mods other than the HOF mod, even if it does not affect gameplay, is that correct?

For example, I would like to use something like the following. Is this allowed?

Welcome to the HOF, OneBinary. :band:

Sorry, but the HOF Mod is the only allowed mod. When used it would exclude any mods in your customassets folder anyway. If you have made changes to the Assets folder (Python or XML), then the mod will warn you that your game would not be eligible. Graphics changes like BlueMarble are okay, though.

We can take a look at the above mod for potential inclusion in a future release of the HOF Mod, though. :)

Thank you for clarifying.

Also, you mentioned something that brings up another question. I currently do have some mods installed (like civ4lerts, EFA). On the mod page it says that if I have any mods installed, I should do an uninstall/reinstall/repatch, then install the HOF mod. But you mentioned that the HOF mod will ignore the customassets folder, so is the reinstall still necessary?

If you don't get a warning about the assets when you start a game with the HOF mod then you should be okay. Otherwise it is usually quicker to just uninstall, delete anthing left behind, and reinstall.

Is there a way to see at a glance which requirements are still needed for Quattromaster? Unless you're about to finish it and show up in the main tables, I mean.

Aside from keeping a personal checklist, not really.

I had trouble as well keeping track of everything, so added a second post to my Civ History thread located in my sig. I keep track of my Quattromaster progress in the second post.

I've been meaning to do my own personal checklist in my Quattromaster's thread, hoping to inspire others to do their own threads, but I haven't gotten around to my own checklist.

I just now remembered that Xerol created printable checklists some time back. I've linked to them in my sig if that helps anyone.

I'll see what I can do about getting something on the server, they're already HTML files.

I was wondering what happened to those, that was like 3 months ago :crazyeye:

The "My Submissions" page has been updated. It now has a tab for Quattromasters which lists your contributing games.
