HOF V2 PBEM - Juno

Yup got it and will play it today..Have just finished "migrating" to my new vista based PC. The Easy Transfer feature is pretty neat. Though the Companion program (Beta version) that you use to transfer programs from your old PC has a few hiccups. It did transfer Civ with all its files but...I somehow have two locations for the program on my new PC. And when I tried to find the save to send via email..I couldn't find it though Civ had it listed in the saves. So I finally found that while I was playing it from one location..the save was going to the other location.
So I am still working out the bugs. Anyhow, I did get caught up on my other less intense PBEMs and will get Juno and Musashi done today. And BTW...the GeForce 8800 GT....all I can say is WOW!! It was pricey but worth every penny I paid!!! An incredible graphics card and paired with a widescreen HDMI monitor powered by an Intel Core 2 Quad...Smoking!!! Now..only if it would make me a better Civ player......

I've got vista too and it works pretty well with CIV3. CIV3 automatically changes the screen to a lower resolution whenever it loads which affects all your other programs. Be careful about opening the Media Center while you have a PBEM turn on the go because this will automatically change your resolution back up to the default which in turn will close down CIV3.
 
Still having issues of why I have two mirror Civs and finding the save after the turn is a little bizarre! Anyhow..still working it. But the graphics on this GeForce card is spectacular! Wish my turn was that good!!

First...sorry for the delay. Yesterday I lost the game twice to bad weather! Finally was able to finish the turn after power was restored late last nite! Abilene, Tx is in West Central Texas. Don't often get snow but do usuallly get a February ice storm which we did get again yesterday. At its worst last evening...it was sleeting and also coming down as freezing rain, snow mixed in and on top of that...we had a succession of severe, fast moving thunderstorms with pea sized hail!!!! Anyhow...as of this morning..power is back on again though we are still getting light freezing rain and a TS just passed over with hail pellets!! Typical Texas Weather!

Battle for Noumea
-The Japanese Combined Fleet decided to avenge the loss of the Hiryu and Soryu...at all costs..and disregard for subsequent losses!

I-Boats spotted several US Capital Ships guarding Noumea. Japanese Kates, Vals, and Zekes from the remaining CVs struck home their attacks. When it was over...the US had lost the following ships...
CV, BB California, BB North Carolina, CAs Astoria & New Orleans, CL Memphis, a DD, 2 SSs, and B-17s and Fighters. One Val was lost in the attack.
