Holy Warrior Challenge

Time to crusade for your favorite religion! The Challenge:

Standard pangaea map - standard speed
Civ - optional
Difficulty level - optional
Victory Condition - Domination

Special Rules:
Cannot build or buy any military units with gold, except for scouts and, later, aircraft.
Must purchase military units with Faith (Holy Warrior belief).

Optional additional Special Rules:
Must take Piety instead of Rationalism.
No Research Agreements allowed.

I am trying this on Immortal difficulty with the additional Special Rules and so far it is quite fun. Post your results if you want to give it a try.

I'd exclude Austria for usable civs.

Personally, I'm not trying to ally with militaristic CS on purpose, but if I happen to complete a quest for them while just playing normally then I wouldn't throw away a gifted unit. But you really don't need them anyway since you can build quite the army with just Faith.

And I agree that playing Austria would defeat the purpose since you could acquire many troops just through "marriage" to CS.

I would also say extra bonus points if you don't ever use aircraft.

I might have to try this. Defending an early rush would be a little strange though. Warrior garrison+walls, and scouts to block units? .
