I want to play against the other computer i have in the house. I even bought 2 games, conquest (+ptw), and civ3 gold. However even when i put DMZ on my router my computers get kicked off saying im behind a firewall. I'm pretty sure if i disconnect my cable modem and not connect to the internet it will work because it wants to connect to gamespy everytime. Can anyone else tell me if my theory will work? it would be nice if both computers could play against other people on the internet too but it almost sounds like they both need their own seprete internet IP's instead of sharing one through my linksys router...

Hello, separate IP's not needed to play in same house, but forget both house computers playing in an internet game at the same time: it can't happen. Read the posting on http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=91842 to see all of the port settings required for your linksys router. From what I see in other postings, there may be a problem with the gold version of the game. Personally, we play C3C.

Good luck.
