What do you guys think of Homefront? Obviously the game has no real plot whatsoever, since it's "story" involves North Korea conquering the western half of the United States. However, the multiplayer may be successful, could this be the next big multiplayer FPS game like Call of Duty, Halo, Medal of Honor, and Battlefield? Or will it fall through the echelons as a mere footnote in history? Currently the game is slotted to be released in March 2011. Is GameStop accepting pre-orders for this game yet? Also, what special incentives do people who pre-order at GameStop get? Like do you get a special in-game weapon, or free DLC, or a key-chain, or t-shirt or what? Will other stores, like Best Buy and Amazon.com, be offering the same incentives as GameStop? Anyway, here's the game's official website and trailer:

I haven't heard anything about this game so I can't comment but... Why do you say the game has no plot, then go ahead and describe the plot? Did you mean the plot?

When people say a game has no plot, they mean it has no REAL plot.

I think you mean to say that it has a totally UNREALISTIC plot.

Anyways, the physics look pretty interesting, as does the gameplay.

But how do the terms "guerrilla warfare" and "advanced drone technology" fit together as a coherent strategy in warfare?

Invading the USA is the most unrealistic plot ever, and one of the stupidest things you could possibly do in a war. Not only is the US military one of the best in the world and millions strong already, but you'd have at least 100-200 million civilians with guns fighting against you as well.

However I could accept that if that is the excuse you need to make the game you wanted to and the game is really good.

However, I really have no interest in what looks like a GO USA #1 game.

The developers tried to make up for that by saying that the North Koreans launched an EMP strike on the entire US, so we didn't see it coming and our forces were scattered.
