Homeric World MOD

First of all, well done on getting your first mod out there!!

I think you've done really well and I like the theme and the ideas you've put into this. Clearly you've worked hard and it's paid off.

Hopefully, you won't mind me making a few suggestions? These are not aimed at criticising the mod, purely as a bit of direction from an experienced modder?

01. Firstly, check your units civilopedia - there's some Byzantine units which don't have a proper civilopedia picture (not the biggest crime in the world, but looks better with one). There's a unit at the end (not sure which one) which causes a crash when you try to list it in the civilopedia, so maybe it's not got a pediaicons entry?

02. There are some techs that seem to do nothing but lead onto other techs. Try to think of something they could have...eg, maybe the wheel could have a pottery shop?

03. There are a few techs that seem out of place...I'm thinking of the Viking ones in era one in particular here.

04. I played as the Minoans, who have the quay instead of the harbour as a unique building. A great idea....except that they can build the harbour as well. My tip of the day is to make the harbour obsolete with Minoan Knowledge...that way, the other civs can still build it, but Minoa can't.

05. Queen Dido plays the part of King Kroisos in the mod?

Again, hopefully you'll see this as helpful rather than critical. I think the mod still needs a few tweaks, but will be a really good one to play.

Hey, 10,000,000th post on the forums.

There doesn't appear to be the BIQ in the download. Call me a stickler for details, but it's pretty crucial ;). When you add it (which you can just do as an attachment in the first post), then I'm looking forward to playing it!

Hmm... I wonder how did I do that

...and I wonder why no-one has said anything yet. It looked like it had the makings of a good mod when I played the first version. Thanks a lot, will download it straight away ;).

Maud liked. Can enlarge the map and add members? Theme - The Eastern Mediterranean, march "Sea Peoples".

I apologize, in English can not just - "translator."

I mean: do not want to increase the script?
Map - Eastern Mediterranean, add new civilizations (Egypt, etc.).
Theme - a campaign "Sea Peoples" in Egypt and Palestine.

The map of Greece was chosen because geographically is very precise and almost every little island is there. I couldn't find any the same good map of Mediterranean Sea.

See Tribes, some of them, probably where coming form Greek Peninsula and Western Minor Asia, so I thought at the beginning of the game place where are they now would be a quite good choice.

It was a quite bad for me that I could not add Egyptians to my mod because there wasn't any land for them :) but I might add this civ in future to the random maps when I'll find some time or you might add it if you want to and could add your work to main mod.
Yes, I am about the future of additional scenarios. Probably will need a map.
This map of Greece - is good. Still need to add: the whole of Asia Minor, Syria, Palestine, Delta of Egypt, Cyrenaica.

will you add Israel , just curious

Ok, I know what you mean now :)

Probably not, I don't have any spare time right now. Even for little improvement of existing mod like adding Egyptian civilisation.

Personally I think that if a new map would be extended and made with such a precision like a map of Greece and more civs would be involved in the game then most of PC's would not coop with it and game would be very slow but if you want to modify this mod, feel free to improve it.
Ok!:)
