Hot seat resource trade bug

I have searched everywhere and I am pretty sure this is a bug. Me and my wife are playing a hot seat game, and whenever I go to offer resources to her, it puts my offer on the table. But whenever I click on her resource I want, nothing happens. When it's her turn, if she goes to offer a resource, it puts the resouce on the table for less than a second, then it goes back to her list of tadeable items. I know this must be a bug because we can trade anything we have to the computer, but to each other only I can offer her resources. Also, when we go to the diplomacy screen, it says "does not accept your offer" even though neither of us made an offer. Also, I should note we are playing a team game. We share technologies like you would normally, infact everything is shared. If resources are supposed to be shared automatically, neither of us are getting these resources. I hope I am not misunderstanding a basic concept in the game (like trade routes) and I apologize in advance if this is the case. Thanks...

There is a workaround for the bug. If you want to have two humans players start with three humans civlizations and delete all units of the first on the first turn. Play with the other two. The bug only seems to affect any human player making an offer to the first.

I had exactly the same problem with my wife (and she wasn't pleased that I couldn't give her anything Until reading your post, I didn't even realise you could play teams -- the multiplayer setup interface is completely undocumented and doesn't tell you about teams.

Then we started over, with teams.

Then I read about the workaround, and it seems we'll have to start over, again! )))
