How are you related to CiV?

I was born in the city named after the Shoshone Civilization's leader. I think that's pretty cool.

Other than perhaps obvious ways (lol I am in America so I am related to Washington) how are you related to any leaders/civs/techs/buildings in civ?

My mom is a descendant of the Great Genghis Khan. My father was the descendant of some French farm workers. And of course, my great great great great great grandfather's brother's son was a musketeer.

I've actually made my own paper, although I am not Chinese.

Were you in China when you made it, though? That's the only way it makes sense, I mean after all the only civilization that has paper makers is China...

The topic is how you (that is, each poster) is related to Civ V, not how each poster is related to a civilization in Civilization V.

Thus, since the Paper Maker is in Civilization V, and I have made paper by hand, I have a tenuous relationship with Civ V. :P

My great grandfather donated a lot of lands in which the city of Corinth would later be founded. Not the Corinth in Greece though :P

My hometown (Belo Horizonte) will surely be on the Brazilian city list.

I have visited the CN tower, thats pretty much it

I've burned down Greece after a jerk named Alexander called me puny.

I didn't handle bullying well in elementary school.

I live in the Chicagoland suburbs.

My ancestors are from Sweden and Germany.

My family has a history of being into engineering and aeronautics.

I live about half an hour away from the place where Alexander The Great father's (Phillip) tomb is located. Also, Alex's palace is near there too. And I'm Greek, if that counts.

I was born in a City State (Rio de Janeiro), which will surely stop being a CS once BNW comes out, since you can't play as Brazil without Rio de Janeiro. I am half-brazilian, half-german, so I find it pretty funny when Bismarck starts spawning cities in the late game and I see names of cities I know, in places I never imagined to find them. Sometimes I just let him keep on spawning, hoping one day he will found the city I live in, but never happened so far.

I have lived in five countries, only two of which are represented in Civ. I have lived in the second and twenty-second cities on the English list, though I currently live in neither. The city where I went to school is a City-State. My father's country (and the country in which I now live) is a major Civ; my mother's country is represented by a City-State - which is also the city in which she was born - and a Natural Wonder, which I have visited.

Neither the city nor the country in which I was born are, as far as I'm aware, represented in any way in Civ. Most people I know haven't even heard of it, though I suspect quite a few CivFanatics will have, being as they are a fairly well-informed bunch :)

ETA: oh, and my dad used to work for an organisation that is represented in the current iteration of Civ as a World Wonder!
