How can I keep the "views"?

When I upload a zip file, I can know how many doanloads according to "views", but if I modify something and upload again, this "views" will be set to 0, how can I keep the original "views" even if I upload again?

Track it manually. Many times, a poster has entered something like:

Version 1.0 removed after 231 downloads.
Version 1.1 removed after 127 downloads.
Version 1.2 removed after 208 downloads.

Is it poosible to do it auto by forum itself?

I don't beieve so. The forum software only tracks the number of "views" of the current attachment.
