How can I load a saved game onto a different computer?

I saved my game to a USB stick and plugged it into my main computer to see how well it played. It keeps locking up on my backup computer.

I plug the USB stick in and copy the game to my computer and have windows open it using CivilizationV_DX11 and it just goes to the normal game opening page and doesn't load in and play like Civ IV did.

Is there a way to get this to load from USB or other folders?

I believe there's a feature on Steam called "Steam Cloud" that allows you to load up a save that's on a different computer. I could be wrong though.

Yes, there is the steam cloud, but I normally play from the saved games folder on my desktop. I found I could put it in my documents folder for the game and it will load from within the game. but I can't double click it from my desktop to load it. It just saves me a few steps it starting the games.

Steam cloud looks very limiting. i see only 6 slots. but I haven't used it, so there may be more to it than that.

Put it in your saved games folder. It's somewhere in My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's etc. There's a folder called "single" in there for single player saves. Sorry I'm not near my pc right now, or I'd paste the complete path.

I thought Steam Cloud had 10 slots but I could be wrong. I never have more than 1 active game at a time so that isn't a problem for me.
