How can i make the game load up quicker??

It seems really slow to start up, and then once it has started it takes a long time to load a game or start a new one, how could i speed this up?

PC Spec is:
Athlon 64 3000+
512mb pc3200 ram
256mb radeon 9600 pro

Even though I have a fair share of problems with this game, it loads quite quickly. I'd like to know if anyone else seems to have a long load time, because I could've swore I saw on another forum someone complaining of the long load times.

Also, i'm not sure how to fix your problem, sorry.

Between loading saved games, it does take some time for me. How long is your loading time? an approximation would do...

try turning off movie, set NoMovies = 1 in your INI file, in your My Docs -> My Games -> Sid's Civ 4 -> INI file.

I think there're some other things you can do to your INI file without screwing it up, check the Fix-it list, hit backspace and scroll up, hard to miss.
