hey how can i beat this 90 defense city??????????? i need help!!!!

Are you facing Aztecs or not?

vet artillary plus battleship fleet in support can do the trick. otherwise u can send spies to disrupt defensive fortifications or destroy walls. You could just overwhelm them with a bunch of armies as long as they aren't the aztecs (aztecs heal after each battle). switch to fundamentalism and samurai castle can boost attacks, as well as great generals and units with infiltration upgrades.

but just a straight up one on one fight, you're gonna need naval support with a strong attacking unit.

I would use three spies if I were you: one to destroy walls, then two disrupt defensive fortifications. (one only takes them from fortified to fortifying, which 100%->50%)

That's assuming the enemy city has no spies to counter yours which you can't count on. I've found more often than not, they've got spies protecting their cities. I would station a spy in any enemy-facing city.

yes i meant to mention that you should use spy rings. It's been my luck that they dont form rings, and for a single spy to beat a veteran spy ring it needs the following boni:
Walls
veteran
great general
fortified
palace
So, just hope they dont have rings... otherwise you;ll be spending a lot of old on spy fodder, which of course is better spent on troop fodder.

That's a hell of a lot of bonuses and one would have to be very lucky to have all those INCLUDING the palace.

How do you use your spy to destroy walls? I haven't seen the option of destroying buildings in the spy menu. Or is this one of the black holes in my Civ Rev knowledge?

I think the option is called something like "Demolish a building" in the spy menu. You don't have any choice or control over exactly which building is demolished, so you have to keep sending spies in until the wall gets destroyed ... assuming you don't get lucky first time, of course.

You can't have wall AND palace bonus in your capital. Once you build the wall the palace bonus disappear

army of tanks with infiltration, naval support, general. at least it worked in DS version, it made A:99. If you want to give it even more chance of winning, have a spy destroy the fortifications.

Take out the strongest units with bomber 'armies'. This allows an attack power over 100 if done right. You may need fighter armies to take out any fighters they have.

Agreed: Veteran bomber wings should have a 108 atk. Throw in naval support (esp battleship navies) and you should be okay. If you're away from water, (hence no naval support) bombers can be used to great effect; alternatively the spy + artillery tactic will be a boon; but beware, the spy's disrupting of their defenses only works for that turn, then it's back to the drawing board (or using more spies):king:

playing the DS version, I don't use bombers, considering I've had three bomber armies shot down by an individual pikemen unit on the same turn before. gosh, the horror.
