how do i build embassy?

Hey everyone

Been playing 4 days straight and i got a decent grip on the game. My question is earlier in the game i got asked do i want to build an embassy with greece. Well, i did. Well i was at peace with 3 other civilizations, but i didn't have the gold needed to build one in there terriorty at the time. So, is there a way to built embassy later when i have enough gold. Or is when the computer ask me my only chance to built.

Double-click on the *Star* by you capital city's name on the map. Or click the "E" on the right side of the info screen at bottom right of the map screen.

Also, After you've built the embassay it shows you the units, ext inside - do you have to pay to see that everytime [ investigate city ] - seems stupid =/

yeah you do have to pay to see the city screen

There's nothing stupid about having to pay to investigate a city. What annoys me is that you can't call up the information again. Civ2 used to let you click on any city that you investigated that turn and see the same info again. Very useful for determining where you wanted to attack first.

The building of an embassy can provide some very valuable information, such as what resources & luxuries are connected, how many defenders are in the city, what the city is building and how long until completion.

I agree with gunkulator that you should be able to review that information during the same turn for no cost. Also examining the city with the emabssy should be cheaper than any other city as the embassy should be able to facillitate the task.
