Hi im new, and I wanted to ask how I could download a scenario from here and play it on Civ III. Thanks.

Assuming you have found one you want... find the "download" link and click on that.

When asked where you want to save it on your computer click through to the saves or scenarios folder in your game files.

When you say Civ 3 do you mean the vanilla version?

Then I believe the filepath would be:
program files
firaxis
Civilization III Complete
Conquests
Scenarios.

um so i click on the download file, but all i get is a window asking if i want to open or save....what then?

You choose save to disk.

Then when the window comes up you select the file path as I listed it above.

The other choice is to have a file, possibly on your desktop, where you save the files and then move them to the scenarios folder later.

I have a folder in "MY Documents" called CIVics that I use for many downloads. I find it useful for grpahics files but I prefer to save .SAV files right into the saves file in the Conquests folder. I don't do scenarios anymore

note that often times, there's 2 downloads needed in order to run the scenario. the first one is typically the large folder which houses all of the art and text files. the second one is the actual .biq file. of course, some modders pack the .biq file in with the large aforementioned folder. however, for the most part, there are generally two DLs needed. if all else fails, the creator of the file(s) is normally happy to assist :)

Thanks guys for filling in the stuff I didn't know about. it has been years since I even looked at a scenario.
